Press Release-April 6th, 2013

Sarah Jones hopes you'll "dig" her new vintage/modern store. Dig, 70 N. Seminary St., is scheduled to open Wednesday.

The store, owned by Jones and her "silent" partner, Dr. Thomas Whittle, will have an "eclectic mix" of items, Jones said.

"It will be vintage clothing and household goods and recycled furniture," she said, lots of furniture.

Asked about the store's name, she said there are two reasons for it. "A lot of things (products) I've dug for and, also, I dig it," Jones said with a smile.

There will be handmade jewelry, some made by artisans in the Quad Cities, some in Chicago and others "farther away, but all in the United States," she said.

Eclectic/retro is a good way to describe the store. There will be a line of new T-shirts, as well as clocks made from old vinyl phonograph records. When asked, she said she may eventually add vinyl records to the store's product line. Read More
